Neon Lightzzz

I'm willing to spend 50-60 dollars worth of fresh good neon lights/led/ whatever looks good ...on the PC... any suggestions?

MOD EDIT: Moved from Video Cards and Graphics to Cases & Cooling... case lights seem to belong here more than in Video... or perhaps General... - Zap

What color preference?
Cause I'd get Dual 12" cold cathodes, a few LED fans (depending on your case and how you will see it), UV cables sleeving (or spiral wrap).

With the build in the works, I have 1x Front Intake LED Fan, 1x blue LCD display, I will eventually cut a case window and purchase dual blue cold cathode kits. I'm skipping on the cables cause I don't really have any cables to do that with (eg. no IDE.)

i am gona get 15" sound sensitive cathodes.. anybody got experience with sound sensitive modules? how to actually install them?

Actually ive already got LED Fans and a Power Supply...just looking on outside lights..also im gona get Red Feet for the Chassis from Logisys.

The sound sensitive cathodes have a microphone in the control or power module. It basically increases power to the cathodes as SPL increases. This means... if you use headphones and not speakers then you won't get any light. 😕 Basically the louder sound is, the better the lighting effect.

Double check to see if your case can take 15" cathodes. You may need to add an inch because of the wire coming out the end, plus the two end caps. I've had occasional difficulty with fitting 12" cathodes, so I wouldn't even consider 15" tubes.

I used to really like UV lights. Had neon lights but was kinda ugly then went onto UV lights and UV paint. Painted my CPU fan and the edge of my PCI cards. Here's a shot of what my old old case looked like. I've since moved onto quiet subtle cases with zero bling.

UV2

I had Coolermaster sound sensitive ones, can't comment on all brands, but the ones I had came with a toggle switch where I could have them on/on with sound activation or off. Was kind of nice as the blinking got kind of old at times.

Yup, plus some of those can turn the lights completely off as well. A plus if you don't need another "nite lite."
