Neon Lights

I am considering creating a window in my case and installing a neon light.

Do these effect the temps inside the case at all?

Got a cold cathode tube in mine. Didnt change the temps at all, not sure about a neon though. I think they might run a little warm but i dont think enought to affect any temps.

No, my neon light has not affected my temps at all.

neon tubes don't get hot. but the transformers for them get a little warm....so just be careful where you mount it

QuackQuack: I just replaced my LED's in my Antec 282 with 3 mm Blue leds (not too bright though). Im gonna be gettin the 1030B for my girlfriend in a week or two and she wants blue LEDs as well. Did you use 5mm or 3mm? Any drilling involved, or just PnP?

I have 3mm "Pnp" leds in my case right. 5mm led's will work in our cases with very minor drilling (just need to enlarge the hole a bit). You can buy them at bgmicro.com (let me know if you need the exact link for the item). I've heard that these led's are VERY bright. I ordered some last week so I'll let you how it turns out.

Kew, im thinkin about doin that. The ones i got from radioshack.com werent too bright, i either have to turn most of the lights off or stand in front of it to see mine. Where did you get ur 3mm ones? was that from bgmicro too? cause my local radio shack carries the 5mm blues.
