NeoModus Direct Connect: need help!

A friend of mine just recommended this P2P app to me, but i can't seem to get it working. I'm connected to a hub, i know that much. It tells me how much data is available on the hub, and how many users are sharing it. But when i type something into the search box and click the search button, nothing happens. It brings up the new window where the search results are supposed to be displayed, but nothing ever comes up. I tried searching for different things too, and nothing. I know the files are there, but for some reason, it's not showing them. Can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong?
