The NEOGEO mini, a video game console celebrating the 40th Anniversary of SNK’s brand is announced!
40 legendary NEOGEO titles will be included!

The NEOGEO mini is a video game console, which will include 40 nostalgic titles from the NEOGEO system, which made its debut in 1990. This console will feature a 3.5 inches display, meaning the games can be enjoyed with no need to connect to a TV or monitor! The size of the NEOGEO mini means it fits perfectly in the palm of one’s hand. The NEOGEO mini will be available in two different designs, one for the Asian market and the other one for overseas markets (for North America, South America, Europe and other regions). With its design in black, white, and red, the Japanese version of the NEOGEO mini will faithfully reproduce the original NEOGEO arcade cabinet that was introduced in Japan in 1990. The overseas version will be a simple and modern design in black, white and blue.

We hope you look forward to enjoying the NEOGEO mini along with its legendary and popular NEOGEO titles.
For more details such as the release date and title lineup, please stay tuned for future announcements.

Handheld and joystick aren't going to work at all together. You grip a joystick with your entire hand, how are you going to hold up the machine then? The screen is way too small to use it as a tabletop machine, hell 3.5 inches is small even for a handheld. They should have gone with say a 13 inch tabletop machine, a 5-6 inch handheld with a D-pad instead of joystick, an NES Classic like box with a good controller, or a tabletop containing a high quality joystick with the machine embedded in it and an HMDI out, as well as a connection for an optional second controller for 2P games.

So in for one. Any guesses on price?

As long as it’s a bit less than the HDMI modded AES consoles I have my eyes on, I’m game.

I guess they got the mess with Tommo and the NeoGeo X finally sorted out.
I have one, it’s nifty for what it is but nothing spectacular, I didn’t pay anywhere near full asking price for it either.
If SNK doesn’t get greedy with it it can probably sell well.
