I have a Neo 2 with 2 integrated ethernet controllers. I have both of them hooked into my linksys router. the router is assigning 2 IP addresses. Is there any advantage to this? I use this computer at work and my computer is the file server for other computers in my office. Is there an advantage that I am not utilizing? Do I need both of these hooked up? Is there a disadvantage to doing so? Any feedback on these questions would be greatly appreciated!

Nope. You're probably slowing things down and confusing the router, as your machine is round-robining between the two NIC's. Same goes for other machines in your office.
PC: "Hey, 192.168.0.22, give me \\share\file01.doc". Server: "Hi, I'm 192.168.0.23, here's \\share\file01.doc" PC: "Uh... Okay....."

Most PC's are limited by the internals of the system - HDD speed, PCI bus, etc. far before they cap a 100Mb/s connection. Also, unless you're serving huge files on a regular basis, I wouldn't mess with anything over a single 100Mb/s connection. If you need anything faster, go spend a hundred bucks on a cheap gigabit switch and a gig card. Much less confusing, easier to support, not prone to cause odd things to happen.

One other note - If you're talking about using two ports of your linksys router for this device at work, chances are your network isn't that big. If that's the case, you probably have NO need for anything over a single 100Mb NIC. There's little chance for contention between client PC's with just a few of them, and they are all capped at 100Mb/s, too. No need to try to use a 4" water pipe to feed a single 2" water pipe, it doesn't make it go any faster.
