Neo2 voltage readings do not reflect changes

OK, so I have an Opteron 170 on a Neo2 mobo. I have upped the voltage a little
to get the chip to 1.65, but I am trying to determine how much this board is over/undervolting. Unfortunately, both the BIOS and windows readings do not show any change.

First, if anyone has experiece with voltages on this board I would appreciate their input.

Second, if anyone has had this same issue, or knows how to get a true reading without checking manually, I would greately appreciate it.

Thanks for your help.

It's likely a bios issue...maybe try a different one.

My Neo2 reported vcore fluctuations just fine.

/misses using teh Neo2...

I would suggest going over to xtremeforums. They have a thread dedicated to the Neo2.

If you have a recent bois, you won't be able to go over 1.5. It's locked. If you want to go higher, you will have to track down a modified older bios. I think it's 1.36?

IIRC, the only way to change the vcore on "newer" bios is the use the over voltage (can't remember the name in bios) option ie. +2.7%, +5%, +8.3%, +10%. The +10% will give you 1.5v

Sorry if any of this is wrong. Memories of my Neo2 Plat are fading fast :)

not sure which BIOS, and I cannot check since I am at school ATM. I believe it is 1.9 tho. I have done a fair amount of reading, including a fair portion of the Neo2 thread
(I think it is the extreme forums one), and it seems the 1.8 BIOS was the best MSI BIOS. My issue is using an older BIOS that won't support dual core.

So I suppose a side effect BIOS modded from a dual core supported BIOS would work. Any suggestions here?
Currently, I am using the option to choose the volts. Are you saying that this option may not work on my BIOS, and I have to use the percentage based voltage increase instead?
This would be fine with me, since it would indicate that I am running at 2.65 on stock volts :D

MBM5 and the BIOS report the same volts, so hopefully I can figure this out after school. Thanks guys, I will let you know what I find out.

Why not use the latest one?

I haven't used my Neo2 since i switched to PCI-e, but IIRC, the 1.B bios was the latest.
Even 1.A is newer than what you have.

There are also tons of mod bioses you could try if you're more adventurous.
