Neo2 Temps.... bios v1.6

ironique

Senior member
Recently flashed my bios to version 1.6 and I no longer have the temp reading problem between the initial boot and subsequent re-boots. But now, I get an idle temp of 21C, which climbs to 32C on load.... which is too low, no?

Anyone else get this?

There is a 1.6 BIOS, but it is not posted in MSI's Site. I think the temps are still not correct on that version AFAIK.

IIRC, there is no 1.6 BIOS... do you mean 1.8?

There is a 1.6mod..

Are you doing any OC'ing?

Retail HSF?

What voltage?

32C loaded seems TOO good.. And I have an XP-90

It's all in my sig.

You can get both 1.6 and 1.8mod here

I guess the readings wrong. It's probably off by 10C. Anyone know if v1.8 solves the problem?

Had the same thing with 1.6, it read 31 C. at 100% load. I am now using the official 1.8 which reads the temp as 45 C. at 100% load. The old 1.5 bios temp was 51 C. 100% load,..... dunno which one is right, I'd guess the 1.5 bios was most accurate.
