Neo2 Plat MB question on sata 1/2 ports

Hi all,

I have a second system that has a Neo2 Plat MB with an oc opteron 165 and 2 gb of ram.

The PCI lock doesnt work on sata1 and sata2 which renders them practically unusable if you're overclocking.

I wanted to maybe add an additional sata HD to the system but feel this is not possible. Is this correct??

I am sure that is correct. I actually still a Neo2 with a 3200 CPU too. I use it for a test box, looking at different versions of Linux and Win, then wipe it when the next OS comes along. Only using one drive.

Maybe you could forget about overclocking it if you need all 4 SATA connectors. It won't make that much difference anyway.
