Nelly is a charactor, dunno why he gets so much crap for it though , he's making fat cash. The band-aid is for his brother who's in jail I think, looks pretty cool from an entertainment standpoint.

Nelly Photographs for Playboy

Posted August 20, 2002-- Nelly, the multi-platinum king of pop rap, has completed a one-off as a photographer for Playboy, taking photos for the magazine's website that will also appear in the magazine. The admitted novice shot photos of Nicole Naraine, the January 2002 Playmate of the Month.:: AD ::

"She looked hot," he said to Playboy.com. "She looked like maybe you were looking in her window one day and you saw her sitting on the floor picking out underwear." The rapper/photographer shot 10 rolls of film at the magazine's Santa Monica studio earlier this month.

The model, Nicole, said that Nelly was cordial. "He didn't walk in like some off-the-cuff rock star, like 'I'm the s**t,'" Nicole told Playboy.com. "It made it cool."

With the shoot, Nelly became the fifth celebrity photographer for Playboy and Playboy.com. Previous photographers were rapper DMX and rockers Tommy Lee, Bret Michaels and Marilyn Manson.

Whereas Nelly was an amateur, he said Nicole's professionalism made his job much easier. "I made a few suggestions but nothing that she obviously wasn't already doing. I left it up to her as far as whatever point in the shoot that she was ready to 'declothe,'" he said.

Although Playboy hasn't yet invited any of its pop star shutterbugs for a second engagemenbt, the St. Louis rapper said that he would love to return if Playboy would have him. "Any time, any place, let me know," he said. "And if you don't [ask me again], I'm gonna be mad. I might call your a**," he said to the magazine.

In related news, Nelly and SongPro, Inc. announced that the rapper would serve as the company's first official celebrity spokesperson. SongPro is a device that can convert the Nintendo Game Boy into a digital music player.

No actually I didn't, not really into watching TV. The best work always comes out of a studio with hiphop/rap music, or a huge concert with a crazy good sound system.

On the band-aid, it's not like he wears it everywhere he goes. It represents something to him, and also gains him easy reference, if I could use a band-aid as a marketing tool for money I most certainly would.

I was simply referring to the BUTT-AWFUL live performance he just gave.... He covered up the mic so much with his hand, it sounded like he was spitting instead of rapping....

If you saw it, you would understand.... believe me...

I don't know, maybe because HE SUCKS??

Chill Red Dawn, any music sucks to someone, that dose not account for the billions of other people in the US though. He wouldn't be rich singing on the grammies if all people thought he sucked.
