I have no idea if he's licensed or using legal equipment, but he has a huge antenna on the roof. Every time he uses it I get extremely loud interference on all of my speakers in the house and my internet even dies if he says more than one or two words. (Come right back up when he stops).

Any one know where I can check what the FCC interference laws are or know anything I can do about it. It's very very annoying.

When my dad keyed his ham radio sets, every CRT in the whole house would suddenly shoot all of it's electrons directly at the left side of the screen :shocked:

When I installed the ethernet, he turned off for good thank god.

who would do such a thing these days...takem straight to court and sue his pants off

QFT...the ironic thing is the case would be stronger if he could prove that he's communicated with the guy multiple times with no resolution.

..our Part 15 devices are subject to rules and reg's concerning harmful interference and undesirable operation i.e. interference recieved. If he's a Ham Op. he has a license and FCC assigned call sign. If he's a boot legger cb running illegal power and antennas the FCC would like to know. If he's a Ham Op..he's done an RF evaluation of his station for safe operation. Ask him what his call sign is and what the results of his RF evaluation were.

Unless he's a proven jackass, just go talk to him and explain your house goes back to the stone age every time he plays with his stupid equipment.

..lots of people enjoy the technical challenge of radio communications and use it in conjunction with computers.

I used to use a CB radio often at the house,

One day I was swearing on the air at my {now ex} G/F;

she had just run out of gas, and it pissed me off, because I had gave her $20. to fill
the mini van up, like 15 mins before. [gas was cheap then, $12. would have filled it]

I was on my way out the door, when my neighbor waved to me,
she said uh, "Please don't swear on the radio, my grandkids heard you thru
the computer speakers."

Oops............:eek:

Talk to the neighbor nice.

I had a guy down the street with the same thing...jerk set up like a dozen antennas (I guess he had a HAM budding on Alpha Centauri or something). My wifi connect used to strech 400 feet @ 2Mb, then it went down to 128K :|
