Neighbor Ethics: Making loud noises while doing it

Inspired by the gym thread.

In college my roommate and I would often wake up to the sound of sex in the morning. The occupants of the unit above us would make very loud noises while doing it and the bed would shake. Good thing the guy never lasted more than 10 minutes, but very annoying.

Edit: They have sex at 5am Sunday usually, which I'm guessing is when they come back from all the Saturday nite partying.

loud noises rarely wake me up...so I really don't care.

I had a couple neighbors who'd make lots of noise, bounce off the walls. We'd do it back to them the next night and make sure they could hear US. Usually stopped after that.

Next time you have sex (if you ever do), do what the fish do, have her spew her eggs on the floor, then you can do your thing on top of them, is that quiet enough for you ?

Reminds me of the Michael J Fox movie when he had the neighbors that would do that. You should make a game out of it. You could record it, call them, and play it back.

I'd recommend cheering loudly enough that they can hear you...loud enough to kill the mood even. They might have no idea how loud they actually are

that's not that much sex...poor guy
