I'm putting together the parts for a new rig. Updating from a Northwood 2.4C oc'd to 3.2.
So, I'm ready for E8400, E8500, etc. Been ready since they were anounced in ... what ?? December of last year. Where is E8500 and the other dozen or so Penryns? Why no storys about delays. No storys about how well the E8500 will oc. All we get are storys about Nehalem and Atom! Oh boy! Nehalem is set to release in December 08? Yeah right! If we see it by June 09, it'll only be because of another AMD snafu and Intel can drag it's feet again. And Atom? I understand the possible market for it and all, but I just can't get excited about low power, "good enough for the job" technology.
I don't want to wait till June for an E8500, but I guess I might have to.
