Negotiating used car price?

What about just getting a small trailer you could tow with a car to haul a pinball machine? Or rent a truck from Home Depot when the time comes.

Eh, I'd rather not have to deal with anything like that.

I just checked the car and the dealer dropped the price to $15.5k! I think this is pretty much rock bottom, so I'll contact them and schedule another test drive for later this week. Hopefully I can get the price down another $500 or have them throw in some extras, but we'll see.

I found a CPO 2017 EX for sale in SC for $18.5k which is very tempting, but I don't know if it's worth the extra $3k considering the hassle of having to fly out there.

Don't buy a vehicle that you're not 100% into. I learned that when I backed out of a deal for a leftover base 2017 Z06 in March of last year for $70K. I was at the dealership hours past closing with the final paperwork in front of me. The car didn't feel like the right one. Would've regretted it. It took me 4 months later to find the exact one I wanted at an unbeatable price (after negotiation). A 2016 fully loaded Z06 with every major option available with only 980 miles on it. Had an original MSRP of $110K. Bought it for the same price as the leftover new Z06 I was looking at in March.

Every time I do that I end up jonesing for another car in just a couple years or spending a dumb amount of money on aftermarket parts to make it what I wanted in the first place. When I just get the car I want I end up keeping it at least double the time and aren't tempeted my mods much. Cheaper in the long run.
