Just got a Motorola Moto G US GSM. 1 concern I have is the event my phone is stolen and such and my files are then accessible.
It uses an android 4+ operating system.
The encryption program it came with claims it can encrypt the entire drive and that to undo it would require a complete re-installation.
My main question is, how will boot up time be affected?
How often do I have to enter the encryption password? Is it when the it goes into screen locking mode?
Will I be able to easily access my pictures, and copy and paste other files (such as music), when I connect the device to a windows 7 desktop?
When the screen 'locks', due to lack of interaction, will my music still play in the background? Or will I have to enter the encryption password again?
I am very familiar with the TrueCrypt encryption software, by the way.
