negative delays in traceroute

hi,
i ran a traceroute for www.anu.edu.au. and i noticed negative delays in some hops. can anybody tell why is that?

16 doiweb1-css.anu.edu.au (130.56.66.45) [AS7575] -185.225 ms -185.256 ms -182.868 ms

That must be running on the Internet 2. I heard that they are running faster than light speeds for most packets. it's like a very short duration time machine.

Reboot and you are probably okay.

I read somewhere about amd dual core drivers causing something like this. if you are dual core, try setting the process affinity for the app you are using and see if that fixes it.

I remember this on hp proliant servers with amd procs:

We had this affect our exchange ccr clusters. Caused issue with failover to the passive node.
