I was reading the newspaper, and in it somewhere was an article that stated that constant reading of e-mail, chatting, and use of message boards lowers your IQ by about 10 points, over twice as much as the 4 point drop in IQ from smoking cannibis.

This would explain some of the nef posts we see here.

I don't have a link. It was in the newspaper a couple of days ago, I think. I was voluteering at my local humane society when I read this, so I don't remember the date. It was an AP article though...
 
I was reading a newspaper and in it SOMEWHERE was an article bla bla bla. And I THINK I was bla bla bla. Get a link.
 
It sounds like neither statistic has any basis in reality.

And I would say that anyone whose name is written in l33t has no basis to tell others that their IQ is being lowered. 😛
