Neeed a new sound card

I'm looking for a sound card where I can have both the speaker and headphone can be plugged in at the same time. I think the Audigy 2 has a software setting where you can switch between output to speakers or headphone. I want this to eliminate the hassle of plugging/unplugging the headphone.

So are there any good sound cards that can do this? I mostly use this to listen to music and movies. My budget is ~$100.

If it's a hassle, then I assume you only plug into the back. I don't believe any sound card has settings to switch between headphones and speakers....you're either plugged into the Audio Out jack, or you're not. A splitter costs a few bucks, but a splitter means audio will always output to both.

Another option is to get a speaker system that has a headphone jack on the satellite. You still have to deal with plugging and unplugging, but it's no longer a hassle. A decent 5.1 Logitech can be had for $100.

Do you have front ports on your case? I connect my headphones to the front of my case and my speakers in the rear, and I don't even have a soundcard. I'm just using integrated audio.

Well I think the way I used to do it was plug speakers into sound card, then plug my headphone into my Logitech speaker. I know for sure there was a setting in my Audigy card that allowed me to output between the speaker or headphone.

I have the Saitek Cyborg keyboard, It has a headphone jack right on the keyboard....while gaming you can plug it right in and go from the speakers to the headphones.

Sounds like you need something like this
