I am looking for a PS for a new AMD 3000 64 with an Abit or Asus mobo. I think a minimum of 400-450W is in order. Ive heard of Antec, Allied, CoolMax, Fortron, etc and have bought from NewEgg with good results. I intend this to be a gaming rig with a Cd/DVD burner, 9800 Pro vid card, and 1 gb PC3200 DDRAM. Whats a good reliable stable and regulated and filtered PS that wont blow my mobo or cause it to run off spec? Id like to spend <$80 if possible. Thank you.

This should be just fine. Though if you want to save some money you could probably go with a Fortron instead.

Edit: IIRC, Allied PSUs are a horrible things. I have no experience with them but I believe many others have said they are bad.

Silverstone with active PFC - or if money is tight, get the one without aPFC.
