Needs FAST, HI REZ Rig with parts from NEWEGG

I am looking to build a desktop rig with the following parts goals:

WIN XP Pro
Mobo branded name and multi SATA connectors
Primary HDD to be WD Raptor
RAM 2GB or? as fast as possible.
Secondary HDD to be 1-2 TB 7200 RPM SATA, WD or Seagate or?
Graphics card to support dual monitors.
(2) 23-24" wide hi rez monitors.
750 watt PS.
Hi ventilated, with hand carry capability, mid-tower case.
4 core CPU with max L2 cache that doesnt burn 140 watts.
DVD/CD read/write/play branded name.
On board sound is okay, sound card not required.
Cost >$1000.

Rig will be used primarily to view moving stock charts, ticker tape real time, and stock tables. Maybe gaming later on. HI rez and clarity for viewing lots of small moving alphanumerics is mandatory. .24 dp???

Also, throwing in 2 24" monitors and keeping it under 1000 probably won't get you into quad core territory. But if you're looking for best (2d, multitasking) performance you'll probably want to bump out the raptor and use an SSD, which is kinda out of the 1k bracket anyway (unless you go with a very small one). How flexible is your budget?

Also, why in the world do you need a 750w PSU if you aren't going to be doing gaming until "later on"? And if you're worried about Watt usage...high end gfx card is kinda the opposite of that.

So I guess my question is: what kind of machine are we working on here...seems like a stock machine, so 2d performance would be best...a low end 2d graphics card with multiple monitor outs would be best...which would allow you to take that PSU down a LOT.

EDIT: Wait a minute, I just noticed the symbol on your cost..... has to be OVER $1000? Just double checking that, that makes my whole post kinda off if its actually supposed to be a minimum of 1000...

I assumed that the components cost would automatically put me over $1000.
2D graphics are fine for stock ticker and table viewing but I definitely want (2) 23-24" wide monitors on a dual output graphics card-no 3-D viewing required. Windows 7 does not yet support some of the appz that I need to run, hence the mature XP Pro with plenty of compatible drivers. An SSD makes good sense but haven't priced them lately and the faster speed seek time and response time is preferred. With a secondary large SATA drive, I just want the SSD for the OS and some apps. All data would be stored on the Terabyte drive. And yes, Id like to keep the price for value high but the cost as low as possible. I see Alienware desktops running from 550W to 1100W PS (with an i5 or an i7 3.4 to 3.7Ghz) but Id rather have excess power than not enough if I later decide an to add an extra HDD or 2 or another DVD burner or maybe a sound card. Ill also be running Windows Word and Excel and some DVD DL and single layer burning appz. This rig is not for watching YouTube vids but I might like to watch hulu.com once in awhile and stream to my 46" SONY LCD flat panel.I have a 3MB down cable web connection that is wireless now. This is why my post-to trim the cost for what I need to use the rig for and to streamline the rig so that all compatible parts work perfectly together. If I had my optimum rig, Id just install Ubuntu 9.10 but I cant assume that ALL of my appz will work with that Linux OS. Thanks for reading and fire more questions if I haven't been explicit enough. Definitely want fast Corsair or OCZ like in quality RAM.You guys are the experts-your responses have already made me rethink the parts but I've seen 24" W LCD'S well over $300 each so I assumed I couldn't get away with even a basic 2D rig for under $1000. Thanks guys. Fire away some component recommendations. Looking for that shopping list.

PS-Id like an NVIDIA based graphics card-have used them for years and their drivers are updated frequently and rock solid reliable. Id also like an easy to overclock CPU without adding water cooling. Is that too much to ask for a rig like this? Am ready to send my order to NewEgg as other merchants dont compare with their brand new parts (Ive bought some "new" mobos for example that were really flawed "used" mobos.), fast delivery, good return policy, lots of variety, and support close by. Not sure who comes close maybe ZZF? Any other VAR's in NewEggs league? Thanks again.

it's not often that there's a requirement that the cost be greater than a set mark..

nah dude, spec out a cream of the crop computer.

6core amd, eyefinity6 radeon 5870, 8 gigs of ram, SSD. gogo.

gotta have 6 monitors for monitering ticker tape, right?
