Needing some help on this buy!

calling jpeyton and others to help me solidify this buy.

First i wanted to apologize for the last post concerning Flat screens. I did a ton of research and learned they are way outta my league for the time being. Sorry if I was a bit rude or harsh 🙁

Anyway, with a good week or so, being patient and studying monitor I have come to some conclusions and I happened to find this: *http://off-lease-computers.site.yahoo.net/ibmp221flsct.html* (sorry, I don't know how to link properly 🙁) monitor for sale. I have never heard of this retailer or read any reviews although through anand's deal finder it lists reviews for this site and it got a 4 1/2 star. I was just wondering if any of you think this is a good buy or not? I was going to call them and see if this is refurb or brand new (I am guessing refurb at this price).

What do you guys think?

Doesn't "off-lease" basically mean used? I'm pretty sure it does... if so, a monitor is something you usually never want to buy used. Like, someone was saying that a CRT's brightness decreases by half after 20,000 hours of use.

that IBM P275 has rave reviews and I am just wondering if that site and/or pirce is good. I hate to be so picky but I am not looking for an "ok" review. I really need something that will last and is best of the best (and best of the semi-cheapest) 🙁

is that IBM monitor worth it or not cause I have heard bad things about shadow-mask. I had an FD trinitron for 3 years then sold it (mistake) and am looking for something relatively cheap but incredible.

The IBM you linked to is USED. If you want to take that kind of gamble, just take the cheap route. But if you want a guaranteed quality of product, buy NEW. IMO, a USED high-end display is usually a much worse investment than a NEW mid-level display.

I decided not to buy 🙁. I will wait for an NEC Diamondtron to go down a little bit at dell unless accurateit.com gets a good deal on one
