Looking for a good billing / invoice program. Nothing major needed.
Program needs to handle :
- 30 to 50 clients
- varying billing rates
- varying billing dates
- monthly billing reports
- address printing
- program needs to retain data for long term audit needs.

Thanks for any suggestions!!!

A couple ofsimple options.

1) Commerical - Look at Quickbooks
2) Freeware - dig through SourceForge.net or similar sites
3) Roll your own - Look at MS Access and some of the wizards to build a database.
Address printing can be accomplished using MS Word mail merge

4) Sub out for a customized front end to a generic DB. You get what you want, if you do not want the headaces of a Roll-you-own or evaluating choices from the Freeware sites.

Quickbooks or the Quickbooks Pro would be your best choice.
Among it's other features are a built in Check Book Register,
it can Print your checks for Bills you need to pay and it will
come in very handy for your accountant come Tax Time.

Depending on where you buy it and any discounts, you could get it for less
than the prices on the web site. This is one program that lives up to it claims.

Thanks for the suggestions! Quickbooks sounds like it would definately do the job, would actually be overkill for what is needed (looking for a replacement for my Mom who is running an old dos based program called Q&A).
Thanks

a search for accounting at sourceforge turned up 568 hits.
If you want an open sorce program, that's the place to start.
