NEEDED: ATOT For Sale/Trade....tips, tricks and suggestions.

I and trying to sell my PS2 and I have never actually sold anything on ATOT or ebay before. Do you guys have any suggestion for a noob like me? Things I should watch out for just so that I don't get ripped off.

I am new so obviosly I have no feedback. Help I am lost 🙁 .
 
If you have no established trading record expect to ship first...but remember to do that only with a established member.

like Minendo said, read the rules and check the bad traders list. Most traders here use a system of feedback called heatware, so check the ratings for your potential buyers there. The AT FS/T forum is for the most part a very safe place to do business. If for some reason you do get ripped off, there is a group of people that attempts to help you out called the Troll Hunters (Minendo is one of them). Good luck
 
Be prompt with any e-mails, PMs, phone calls. And be sure to pack your items well. Also use some form of shipping confirmation as much for your sake as the buyers/sellers.

I agree.

I've only done a handful of trades but constant and frequent communication is very nice.

What I mean is that you would ship the item first, then they would pay you once they recieved it.
 
ok, so How does shipping first work? I just ship first and hope for him to send me the money later? There has to be a better way around it.


If that is the case than it almost makes it worthless to me. The item is woth $100 which is nothing compared to the headache I will have to go thru if the person decides that they don't wanna pay me.

Use a trusted third party if necessary.
 
Think about what you would expect from a seller if you were looking to buy something. Now be that seller. It's not difficult.

And yes.....read the rules and other posts just to see what other people do/say to get a feel on how things work.
