Need your recommend. on cheap Socket A solution

SP33Demon

My computer just died, and I'm looking for an immediate, cheap socket A solution, maybe the AMD760 or SIS375(?) chipset for a 1Gig Tbird... Don't care about overclocking or any features, just stability/cheap/efficient (doesn't have to be the best)...

Please let me know what you guys think and include how much the board is gonna probably run if you could?

Go for the Biostar M7VKD. It's a relatively cheap board that's very stable and can use your old ram. It uses pc100/133 ram and it's based on the VIA KT133/A chipset. Supports ATA100/66/33. Comes with onboard sound, no video. Ive built 2 systems with Athlon XP 1900+ cpu's, and so far have been very impressed. I plan to build several more before they are no more boards out there. I believe Biostar has discontinued it. I bought mine from www.tcwo.com for 54 bucks. Check the prices since they change everyday.

Thanks you guys for the input... I'm going with the ECS board since I have PC2100 RAM, and can get it for $50 shipped 🙂 Once again, thanks!
