I'm using a little, old, POS Logitech QuickCam Home, for home (farm) monitoring & the amusement of family & friends. Software wasn't a problem - SpyCam, the free version, is highly effective and simple to use. However the camera is completely unable to deal with high light conditions, like much bright sky/water/snow. Works fine for indoors, mounted on a monitor, which is what it was meant for.
I need an inexpensive camera suitable for outdoors (or through a window), preferably that I can mount a ways away from the computer. Wireless would be OK, and stringing something like CAT5 would be no problem. If nothing else is in the right (low) price range, then just a better equivalent of what I've got will have to do.
Anybody got any recommendations?
