Anything that isn't running Intel hardware is a waste of time and money, as far as I'm concerned. Look around for an old Mac Mini with an Intel Core Duo CPU - you can definitely find one for around the same price.

How about this set up:

Apple Mac G4 733Mhz Quicksilver + 17" LCD Monitor OSX Tiger - $120

Selling my gentle used Apple Computer. Its a few years old but in great condition.
Fully Tested and you can try before you buy.

HARDWARE:
PPC G4 CPU@733MHz
768MB RAM
40GB Hard Drive
CD Burner + DVD Player Combo Drive with DVD Player Installed.
PowerCord + Apple Keyboard + Dell/Generic USB Mouse.

SOFTWARE:
MAC OSX Tiger 10.4
iLife 2008 which includes GarageBand , iweb, ical, etc etc
DVD Player iTunes
Open Office which lets you edit create and save Microsoft Office Documents.

It's garbage. You need to buy something that has an Intel Core Duo or Core 2 Duo processor. The PowerPC CPUs are outdated, unsupported, overpriced, and abysmally slow. Waste of time and money. If you can't afford a used Intel based Mac, you should definitely just save up your money and wait til you can. I think everyone here would agree...

Yea, you'd need an exceptionally good reason for anyone to think using a PPC processor is a good idea and the only one I can think of right now is testing PPC builds of software.

Is this is your post - you are the seller ?
Thanks for the info.

Edit: Oh crap, just realized that's a G4, disregard my post.

No, I'm not the seller.

Like everyone else said, you'd be much better off with an Intel Mac. Looks like that'll set you back at least $300. Kind of crazy, people still pay over $300 for 4 year old computer that sold for $600 new.

I think you should look into building a Hackintosh.

I can't understand why talk about Hackintoshes is just fine here but any mention of stealing other software is forbidden.

Well I have bought a family pack of 10.6
Morally I feel good but it's still against the EULA
so it's kinda like paying?

I do think Hackintoshing is recommended WAY too much
I don't think is suitable for most people, too much of a headache.

But the point is that you're violating the license agreement which means you're not legally allowed to use the software and that you essentially donated that money to Apple. How you justify that illegality to yourself is irrelevant.

But for some reason that's perfectly fine here even talk about activation or no-cd cracks results in threads getting locked. It's the very definition of a double standard.

Touché 😉

Frankly I don't really care which way it goes, I think talking about this kind of illegal stuff is fine as long as people aren't passing around cracks directly in the forum, because it's going to happen regardless and making people do it via PM doesn't actually stop anything. But whichever way Anand decides to go should be 100%, not this half-assed shit where cracking Apple software is fine but MS' software is off-limits.

So you have never gone 70 in a 65 because you were "going with the flow of traffic"?

I know. I always found it weird too.
