Well i just got my RMA of Gigabyte GA-7VAXP back from newegg. I don't think it's the motherboard problem anymore. Still gives me the same problem, restarts after checking the memory.

It just checks the memory and gives me a white line across the screen and beeps and reboots, does that over and over....

I have AMD 2000+ XP and basic Mushkin 512mb DDR 2100, Cheintek Geforce ti 4200 128mb...

Would this be a RAM problem or the video card problem.

This worked all fine when i had it in the MSI micro Motherboard which i'm selling on the Hotdeal's thread.

someone help me out please....

hello sounds like you may need to clear cmos (remove battery for a couple of minutes) check the fsb switches and set to 133 if theyre not and if it boots to screen hit f1 go in and set optimized defaults f10 save and exit then adjust from there. hope this helps

I'm having a boot problem too only I don't know if it's the CPU, RAM or maybe just maybe the video card. I saw that on the first page it only takes 1.5 volt video cards and maybe the Chaintek isn't 1.5v. I'm using a WinFast Ti200 Geforce 3 and everything clicks and whirs but there is no posting the screen is blank. Any suggestions would be helpful.

thanks,

art
