S3 never actually released a set of Savage4 XP drivers as such. They just said that the Windows 2000 ones were ok for XP. Some people have a few problems with them such as dropouts to the desktop when playing games, the inability to play some games like Return to Wolfenstein without crashing their computer, etc.

In all honesty, take advantage of the fact that even the cheapest of graphics cards such as those based on a Radeon VE/7000, GF2 MX or even the SiS 315 chipset will easily out-power it and offer better stability and compatability.

Normally I try to get the most out of any kit I have (such is the reason I am still sticking with an original Geforce DDR card for the moment), but having used all S3 Savage cards from the original Savage3D to the Savage2000, I think these are exceptions to that rule.

Edit: Of course, thats assuming you want to do any gaming with it..... if you just use the internet, the occasional light 3D app/game, and watch DVD's (S3 have damn good DVD playback) then its fine.
