Of course, I'm a newbie to building a wireless network. I have a budget of $100-250 and want to build a 802.11g network in my home. I'm going to be using 2 desktops and 1 laptop computer for this. What is the best equipment for my budget to buy? Any suggestions? Is 802.11g too expensive for my budget?

I have an ethernet 4-port hub already, so can I use that to connect my desktops and attach it to my wireless network?

I purchased a SMC router and wireless card (both 802.11b) from Microcenter a couple of days ago for $50 after rebate. 802.11g seems pretty expensive, but you might be able to find a router and a card within your budget. You won't need to be using the hub if you get a router with 4 ports on it. It will support wired connections and also the wireless connection. Maybe someone else can help you out with a recommendation of equipment. Hope this helps.
