Need wireless adapter help

I just built my mother a PC for the downstairs area and she's decided she wants it in her bedroom, upstairs. Of course the Gods of Networking have decided she doesn't need to have Cat5 hookups in here room. Fine. So without the option the traditional Wall-Ethernet Cable-PC hookup I've decided to drop a wireless adapter into her PC. Tomorrow I'll be going to Fry's Electronics and I'll be grabbing an adapter off their shelves but I wanted some opinions and feedback from AT before doing said grabbing.

The crucial part of this is that the adapter needs Vista x64 support. The AirLink AWLH4130 is the is only one without drivers and the DWA-556 is too expensive for my tastes. D-Link's DWA-1320 is Certified for Vista, but I say drivers are drivers. Good to see it got a badge though. Frys isn't exactly clear which WG311 adapter is on shelves but if it is the WG311v3, it has Vista x64 drivers. The rest of the WG311 family doesn't. And, lastly, I have a WMP54GS that works (but is in use) but no Vista x64 drivers are listed on Linksys' site. I guess it would be safe to assume its sibling, the WMP54G, has drivers for Vista x64 as well (though I hear conflicting reports on newegg reviews).

Basically, like I said before, I just need feedback/advice on what to purchase, especially the TrendNet/Airlink stuff (dunno who they are). Does it wake up from sleep with the rest of the desktop? Good range on second floor of house (can't measure to save my life but I'd say ~25ft)? Anything (especially 1st hand experience) would be greatly appreciated.

Final Contenders:

D-Link
DWA-1320 (and Rev. C)
Leaning towards this because it's certified and nearly as cheap as the Airlink/TrendNet.

Linksys
WMP54G

Netgear
WG311

Airlink
AWLH3028

TrendNet
TEW-423PI

I'd just get one of those, says Vista X64 compatible right on the page. I know someone using one of them in XP 32-bit, works just fine.

Hehe, update. The next morning my mother went out and bought an optical drive and a wireless adapter on her own. End result? $60 Sony noisy IDE drive that she didn't have any ports left over for and a $80 (or so) 802.11b/g/n adapter.

I tried talking her into the Edimax myself (it's cheap and you don't seem to stop recommending it :)) but she wanted her internets then and there. Figured it would be no real loss to spend $10~20 more. We're returning the optical drive but I figure we'll keep the adapter as a monument to her failure to recognize overpriced hardware and her reluctance to consult with me before making tech purchases. :)
