need windows picture & fax viewer or sth similar for vista

My notebook comes with vista home premium.
it's got corel snapfire as the default picture viewer, I hate it takes 30 seconds to run and it only shows one picture at a time.
does vista have windows picture and fax viewer installed? It didn't give me any search results.
Is there any place I can download it from?

Try Irfanview - very powerful and runs great in Vista Ultimate.

Yes Vista has a picture and fax viewer. I'm at work on a XP system right now, but you should be able to right-click on an image and click "Open With" and the Image/Fax viewer should be listed. Just set it to remember to always use that program for images.

Or you could just associate all image extensions with the Image/Fax viewer.
