need win2k admin help

How can i change my log on in win 2k?. I set the machine up as administrator ,but now i can not change any properties ,say right click on desktop and choose properties, i get access denied. Maybe some one can help. Thanks.

Assuming this is a stand-alone machine?
It sounds as if you configured some Local Security Policies? If so, then you'll need to unset them. LSPs apply to ALL local users, including the Admin.

Can someone take me step by step on changing these permissions? This is one of my home machines and I can't even get to display properties. Pls.help.

Did you configure the Local Security Policy? or is the problem something else?

I have dug through the help files but still cannot find a starting point for changing settings.
