Looking at the Anandtech cover story the cpu and socket are much larger so I'm guessing no universal solution eh?

I don't think that's going to happen. You might see something after Nehalem's release that supports both but right now the outlook looks grim.

Well, I don't know anything about water cooling, but I am hoping there will be some mounting adapters for air coolers at least.
Perhaps there will be something similar for water coolers?

Oh well I guess we'll have to wait and see. Puts a bit of a kabash on my water build want to see what happens. All I need is the cpu block and pump and I'm ready to roll guess I'll buy the pump next and wait and see

possibly EK would come out with a mounting plate.

Possible so will swiftech.

However more likely, they will come out with a better block with focused jets. It seems people are going back to jets now instead of staying in low restriction like we were the past 2 yrs.

What do you think aigomorla does jets mean different pump? Should I wait for my water block then?

my honest recomendation is ALWAYS wait until your ready for the migration.

You can buy tubing and radiators. I dont have much faith in fesser being better then TC. Sorry not in the requirements i need it for.

But in the blocks, i would wait. Also pumps, who knows Laing might suprise us with a new DDC.

Well I have everything except for the pump and the cpu water block so I'll hang a bit more until we see if adapter plates or new blocks will be available

I really want to put my Q6600 under water though ;)
