Need/want quality PSU

My current PSU, Corsair TX750, is over 4 years old and seen three systems. I'm going to add a second AMD R9 280x shortly and I want something that can be trusted. I've had some weird restarts lately and the PSU is the only component that is not new.

Anyways, I've been looking at the Season X series and would like either the 750w or 850w depending on what is a better deal at time of purchase.

Any other recommendations for a quality PSU that is modular and can support my needs?

The XFX looks like a good value since it is a Seasonic, but are there any difference? I mostly see complaints of incorrect cables and bad customer service with the XFX but for $50 difference it may be worth it.

As a company it may be a bit 'cheaper' but the PSU is internally identical to the X750 (see hwsecrets review), it's just in a different looking shell. Also see TPU's review of the X750. Definitely worth saving $50 IMO. If the difference was $15 or so I'd probably swing towards Seasonic (who also offer 7 year warranty instead of 5).

Incidentally, the $3 AR more expensive G750 is definitely worth considering due to the brand... quality-wise, it's identical to an X750, but there are other differences:
- "only" semi-modular
- lacks the optional fanless operation at low loads
- cables are not ribbon-style
- 5 year warranty instead of 7

There are no reviews of the G750 that I can find, but the G650 review by JonnyGuru is a good reference (it's one of the best performing units JonnyGuru has ever reviewed).

There have been some really good reviews on forums and review sites on Rosewill PSUs lately. They used to be pretty crappy, but they have gotten way more competitive with their quality with getting into the gaming hardware scene. - Might want to check them out because since they aren't a big name brand really, their prices are good for the quality and life you'll get out of them.
