i'm working on learning an animation tool and am plowing through the lip-sync/ morph part of it. it's like wading through hip deep mud. there is a lot to learn !
but, looking on the bright side, at some point i will have a reasonable excuse
TO BUY MORE COMPUTER STUFF !
Yea !
in any case, the voice synthesizer available at Download.com are helpful, BUT -- it's kind of wierd, different programs have the same list of voices, as if they were written by the same people or drew from the same libraries.
on the good side, the "woman's whisper" really does sound like a woman whispering.
anyway, i would love to find a voice synthesizer with a big old southern Texas accent.
and if there's a programmer who has the skills - if such a program literally does not exist, and you could write it, well it's a separate subject, but i think it would be funny and maybe a big seller.
as an aside i would like to find a voice synthesizer that speaks "brobonic", as in "bro, went surfin bro, so stoked, come on over, bro", or Arcata, California ... "it was awesome, man." "oh, that is awesome." "yes, awesome".
believe it or not, brobonic and Arcata Awesome are 2 distinct dialects.
there are some voice readers who have the skills to evoke these different voices ... but not me !
TIA, major.
