Need video help, unusual question!

Hi,

Setup is:
Samsung SyncMastre 172T, PAL GameCube, XRGB-2 plus upscan convertor. Cables that come with GameCube.
So I want to connect a Gamecube to my monitor. I got the setup working with a 6 year old 17 inch CRT.
When I connect to the LCD screen I get about a second of picture every 30 seconds. The monitor has a small green LCD to indicate signal, this flicks between on and off.

Do LCD monitors require more VGA signal strength, would a VGA Amplifer work?

Anybody got any ideas?

Tony

The GameCube is designed to work on a TV

the signal it sends is in Analog and also has a defined unchangeable " SET " Refresh rate and color depth .... maybe if your LCD had a TV tuner card to do the converting built into it and if you plugged it in with the Coaxial cable plug on that TV tuner it would work .. ... anyway i'm not 100% sure i'm just guessing the most obvious ....maybe someone?s gotten it to work ... 🙂

sorry i couldn?t be more help.
