I have the following parts in my rig
e6850, gigabyte p45ds3l
2x1 crucial ddr2 800mhz ram
1 seagate 320 HD
1 DVD burner
evga 8800gs
antec earthwatts 430watt psu
I can get a used 8800gtx for $70 shipped but I don't know if my
psu will handle it or not. The psu calculator says recommended psu of 340 watts
do you think my psu is ok for this? I believe it is 33amp on the 12v rail. This would be a huge friggin upgrade to get the 8800gtx.
Will it work on my rig or should I look into getting a different card? I'm only gaming at 1280x720 by the way. I just want to max out the settings I don't care about aa or af being at zero but the rest of my settings need to be maxxed or close to it. Will be playing cod4, fallout 3, grid and dirt.
Please help me out guys. I have a $100 budget for a video card, I
don't know if the newer cards are less power and perform the same but I need something in my price range and used is ok with me....
