Whats the best card i can buy for around $180 US ?
ATi Radeon 8500LE 128mb ? or is it better to wait around for the geforce4 ti4200?
I want a card that will give me 40fps+ for another 2 years atleast!! a card that is more future-proof...ati is less reliable but seems to have more features...nvidia...well no game is not gonna run well on a gf4! im very confused here...guys please help me out.
also, what if i go for a r8500 by some other manufacturer like hercules or powercolor? or a gf3ti200 with 128mb ram ??
what do you suggest ? where can i buy it online, cheap ?
[im upgrading from an intel i740 8mb , if that makes you laugh..well it was supposed to!!]

don't get the radeon LE or one made by another company. Just get the Radeon 8500 64mb retail ($150). The 128MB version won't really make a difference now, but if you want it for the future then get it. The LE is clocked lower than the retail like the ones made by other companies. I'd take that over a TI200 any day.

Nothing is guaranteed, but I think it's a safe bet to get a Radeon 8500, but like stated above, get the retail "Ati" version cause it's clocked at 275/275.
This can be found for the best price on Newegg now.

the 8500le 128 can easily [so ive read] be overclocked to the r8500 128 retail speeds..if and when needed...which wont be for another 6 months atleast...you guys can helpme out with the overclocking!! ;-)
right ?
i think its gonna be the r8500le 128mb for 179$ for me....the r500le 128 im planning on is also made by ATi.
