Want to take a trip this Christmas with my family, but we're having trouble deciding where to go, and it's late already. We'll see if it's possible for this year, but if not, there's always next!

Here are the 'vacation criteria':

My parents love to:
Golf
Gamble
Tennis
NOT SPEND MONEY
(they are very active and cheap people)

My brother and I are interested in just about anything, but would prefer not spending a vacation indoors gambling.

Activities:
surfing
skiing
All water activities (snorkel, scuba, etc.)

If we could find a place in the carribean that has reasonable prices and offers surfing and gambling, along with enough food to keep us happy, we'd be set! I've been looking into different areas but it's difficult to find the right spot for a ~1 week vacation.

We're not terribly interested in going much farther than the Carribean for 1 week. Also, Mexico isn't high on my list because I'll be there in February, but it's an option.

Any suggestions are very welcome. Thanks in advance!

Yeah...exactly. My brother and I are confused too. Actually it's just my mom who really loves to gamble. And know what? She's good at it. No joke, she reported over $13,000 in earnings last year from gambling. Royal flushes every month.

Hadn't thought of Aruba. Good idea. Costa rica is a good idea too, although I recently visited there. I wouldn't mind going back although it is the rainy season now I believe. I don't think my parents would care for that.

Costa rica has great surfing. Aruba is great for windsurfing (constant trade wind). Watch out for the gaming though, the games are a little "funny".

And by funny I mean overwhelming house advantage.
