Need USB Cameras that are Cylindrical

I am looking for a camera that is in a cylindrical housing, like the Apple iSight, a Firewire camera.

I'm also looking for a few USB cameras where the axis of the camera is parallel to the axis of the cylindrical housing.

A detail perhaps, but, some USB webcams are cylindrical but not like the iSight, the camera optics are pointing off in some other direction.

the Microsoft Lifecam, which I think has the camera pointed in the right direction.


Do you guys know of any other webcams (small USB compatible cameras, hopefully with drivers for Vista Ultimate 32) that have cylindrical shapes like the iSignth and the Microsoft Lifecam ?
 
You really should let a doctor do your colonoscopy... it's one of those things you really shouldn't do on your own 😀
 
The Lifecam is about as close as you are going to get. Does it have to be long? Why not spherical within the same diameter?

it needs to be cylindrical, so it can be aligned parallel with other instruments.

that could be done with a spherical housing for the camera (e.g. Logitech webcam 5000) - but it would be a lot more work.
