A while ago the XPS 10 Tablet locked up and a friend of mine then just shut it off manually.

Ever since then the Tablet is unable to boot into Windows.

Upon attempting to boot up, after the DELL Logo, the tablet displays the Error message "ERROR: Unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to shut down."

If I try to enter the recovery mode by holding the volume key up and pressing the power on button, it displays the following error message "Attempting to boot from Windows Recovery Failed with code 0x088000000E." and then basically shuts off.

Help is much appreciated :)

These Windows 8 tablets are a real PITA to troubleshoot, because they don't like booting from anything.

Best-case is if you have a dell USB recovery key (that should work). If you don't, you're going to need to create a Win8 bootable USB key OR boot from a Windows 8 install DVD (using an external drive). Either of those should get you going. At least on my ATIV, as long as I install the right edition it just works (even after wiping the whole disk it manages to find the key, I assume there is some identifier somewhere).
