Hello all. I am in the power up portion of my new system build and my existing RAID-0 configuration is not being recognized by the new system. It's really important that I maintain the data on the current RAID array because I can't replace some of the files. Is it possible to maintain a RAID-0 array from a previous system? I am going froma SI RAID controller from my old system to the Intel ICH7 controller in my new system. On the mobo, it has 4 connectors for the ICH7 controller (2 red, 2 black). I have tried various configurations (master/master, master/slave, etc) but have had no different luck. I can actually get to the RAID setup screen shortly after initial boot but if I change anything in this setup menu, won't it lose my previously saved data? Here are my components:
Intel P5 650, 3.4Ghz CPU
Asus P5WD2 Premium Mobo
Mushkin XP DDR2 6400, 800 mhz
Maxtor 200GB SATA1 HD's (x2)
Also, for some reason on boot-up, the computer is saying that I have PC2-4300 RAM.
Quick responses needed!! Thanks!!
