System is a Dell Dimension 5150/E510 so i thinks the power supply limits what will ite take. The system came with a ATI Radeon X300 SE 128MB Hypermemory PCI-E x16.
I've seen recomendations for 7600 GS or GT or possibly a 7900 GS. I'm not familiar with all whats out there. I know these are nvidia cards and have not seen any suggestions for ATI cards.
I would like to get a card that has at least the same tv out quality and is also quiet. I've read some reviews on newegg for those cards above and some say the fans are loud.
Is there any differences in tv out quailty between ATI and Nvidia?
I need a card that has DVI output and at least S-video for tv out.
until i get a new card...
the tv out on the ATI seems to have lost all white color. i played color bars on the pc through to the tv out, all colors mostly there execpt white. any ideas? it's not the software cauze it also performs same way in linux. any ideas? dont't think the s-video cable is bad.
