Picked it up a LG 55LN5710 55'' 1080p LED for $699 during a Frys 2 day b&m sale over the weekend, saw lots of other people hopping on it so figured I might as well too. Tv looks great and all but....

As it turns out its just too big for my current living situation and something along the lines of a 42'' or maybe even just a 32'' would be more than sufficient for me. The primary use will be for playing the Xbox 360 and watching dvd's/netflix.

I dont much care for all of the smart tv features as it seems redundant seeing as there is nothing I really care to do that the Xbox can not. What are some recommendations? Wouldnt mind spending less than 400-500? I am seriously considering one of the lower end 42'' Panasonic or Samsung Plasmas that can be had for $399 but am hesitant because they are only 720p and I plan to be picking up either a ps4 or xbox one upon release and will want to get the most that I can out of them without my tv's resolution hindering that.

Thanks for any suggestions and/or advice!

I can't imagine wanting a smaller display than a 55" for watching TV, movies or gaming. Now my 46" LCDs look dinky by comparison. I have a 60" plasma and if I could cram a 100" in here, I would, but I might have to knock out a section of wall to do it!
