Need to verify cpu speed...Help please

I have a Asus A8N-SLI deluxe with an AMD 64 3500+ ATHLON 64 939 RT. But I don't think it's running at full speed. I'm using it to build a HTPC and when I use Fddshow decoder it pegs the CPU to 100%, when other don't have that problem. So is there a software that will push the cpu and tell me if it running corretly.

unless your running Cool N Quiet it will run at 2200mhz, if Cool N Quiet is working it will drop down to 1ghz when the CPU sint needed to much
