Hello,

I have a EVGA X58 SLI Classified motherboard (Intel X58 + ICH10R chipset), and I am looking to upgrade my RAM on it.

Currently, I have 3x CM3X2G1600C8D PC3-12800 (3x2GB sticks) of Corsair Dominator RAM.

I wanted to add another 2x3GB (or 2x4GB if this can be done), but my concern is to make sure what I buy will be compatible.

I am looking at buying another kit, below:
Corsair XMS3 CMX6GX3M3A1600C9 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1600 CL 9-9-9-24 Core i7 Memory Kit

This would max my slots at 6x2GB. The motherboard will be able to support the memory upgrade, but want to make sure the two will be compatible?

As far as I am aware, if I match the clock speed PC3-12800 (DDR-1600) I should be OK?

Could someone please confirm this? Thanks you !!

More on this, I would probably go with..

Kingston HyperX 6GB Kit 3X2GB DDR3-1600 CL9 240PIN DIMM XMP Triple Channel Memory Kit

As they are in stock at a local store here.

Your assumption is correct, as you're running a triple channel set-up as long as the new set you purchase is capable of matching your existing set you can run all 6 at the same time.

Yep, just make sure all the specs (including timings and voltages) are the same or as close as you can possibly get them.
