Need to update 1 PCs local policy remotely from Server 2000/2003

Hello I have a RDP problem where if I try to connect to a workstation using a domain acct (Admin) it just disconnects me immediately after log in. It happens wether I RDP in from within the network or out of it. I made the RDP port in this case 3391. When I try to log in to the local machine it says I cannot log in interactively. So I want to try the group policies, but I can't log in and no one is there for me to guide them through, to install vnc, or to webex. How can I push a group policy to a XP machine connected to the domain?

have you rebooted the box? GPO's are applied on user login (iirc) so you need to log into the machine to get the GPO's applied correctly. you might try rebooting the machine remotely and then logging in via rdp.

Make the changes to the group policy. Make sure the group policy is enforced.

Reboot is the best scenario here but if you have a user on the other side you can always have them

CMD -> GPUPDATE
