need to slip stream drivers into xp install

I need to slip stream sata hdd driver into xp install. I did this before but i remember being a pain. I got nlite program but what i need to know is what file do i slip stream in. Usually drivers come in .exe file or on a disc. Do drivers have .xxx name so i will be able indentify it easily?

drivers actually usually come in a .inf with accompanying .sys files. the .exe simply extracts them and puts them in the proper place. for SATA drivers, shouldn't slipstreaming SP2 be sufficient?

I didin't need to install drivers for my new system using sata all the way round DVD + hdd,

well the last time i did xp install with sp2 in it i still needed to slipstream sata hdd drivers becuase sp2 didnt have it
