Need to show boss what is on a machine

I have some towers that I need reformatted, but before I do, my boss wants to know what is on them. They have come from another office so I myself don't know what is on them. Is there a program that can run a search and catalog what programs are on it and give a report to save/print?

Go into the DOS/command window.

Do a recursive dir listing from the root to the printer.
