Need to set permissions in Regedit - but cant find anywhere to set permissions.

I am having a problem in MS Visual Studio - and on their KB - it requires that I have to load regedit - and set permisiions. But on my regedit - there is no permission tab - or anything to set permissions with..


If this helps - I have Windows 98 - and I go to run menu - I type regedit - and this is how I get to regedit..

Not sure but you might look in the parameters subfolder under that program.

Try typing "regedt32" at the run menu. Not sure if regedt32 was in 98 but if it is you will have a security drop down from the top with a permissions choice.
