Need to set permissions in Regedit - but cant find anywhere to set permisions..

I am having a problem in MS Visual Studio - and on their KB - it requires that I have to load regedit - and set permisiions. But on my regedit - there is no permission tab - or anything to set permissions with..


If this helps - I have Windows 98 - and I go to run menu - I type regedit - and this is how I get to regedit..

that is - how you get to - regedit, but - i don't know - what they're - talking about when they - say "permissions."

Regedit and permissions usually apply to NT4 or 2000 workstations or servers.

Check to see if you've got a KB ticket referring to WinNT or Win2k. You prolly do.

Yeah, in regedt32 you can set permissions.

Don't work - must only be for NT then.. 🙁
